The ESH Foundation wants to send reassurances that we are doing everything we can to support our community, and have received many inquiries from our donors asking how they can help our local hospital, hospice and our healthcare professionals during this unprecedented public health crisis. This is a true testament to the love and kindness that is present in Essex County, and together we will get through this

As a result, the Foundation has created the following initiatives to support our local hospital and hospice:

• Share what you can spare – Join our fight against COVID 19 by donating the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) items that are in urgent need for the hospital:

 Respirators, Honeywell 5500 Series and NIOSG P100 filter cartridges
 N95 masks (model number: 3M18710, 3M9210 or 3MVFlex). If you have another available model of N95, please let us know so that we may assess if it is something that can be utilized.
 Nitrile gloves
 Battery-operated infrared medical thermometers
 Disposable impermeable gowns
 General surgical masks
 Hand sanitizer and/or disinfectant
 Sanitizer wipes
 Safety goggles
Those able to provide support are asked to please contact Christine at 2263473382 or by email at

• Give Gratitude campaign – share inspirational words, stories or in-kind donations with our healthcare professionals during this difficult and stressful time. Your generosity can be a call to action that inspires others! For more information, please visit our website at

• COVID 19 Response Fund – will support the urgent and highest priority needs of Erie Shores HealthCare and Erie Shores Hospice that are outside of government support, but are vital for patient care. Funds raised will be used to support our front-line healthcare professionals, as well as to purchase critical equipment and technology to enhance our ability to diagnose and treat patients during difficult time. To support our battle against COVID 19, please consider making a donation on our website at or by emailing me directly at

The health and safety of each member of our community is our highest priority. As such, the foundation staff continue to work from home and are available to help you by phone or email. We encourage everyone to visit our website ( and our social media feeds to stay informed and learn how you can join the fight against COVID 19.

Please take this time to stay healthy and promote the wellbeing of yourself and others. I am proud to be a member of this community and am confident whatever lies ahead, we will overcome with the medical expertise, love and compassion that is Essex County.

Sending virtual hugs,
Executive Director
